Respect Her Grind was created back in January 2017 as an after school program serving teen girls who had an interest in entrepreneurship.  The mission was originally to expose teen girls to something different from the typical 9-5p that schools teach them to conform too.  As an entrepreneur and former school teacher our Founder and CEO wanted to show the young ladies that their is power in your gifts and talents.

March 2017 Respect Her Grind, LLC became official and it was decided to expand services to not only teen girls pursuing entrepreneurship but for women as well.

Respect Her Grind is here to bring together a community of women entrepreneurs and leaders to help expose, educate, and support future female entrepreneurs and leaders in our community. We are here to share resources, connect, and build thriving and profitable businesses.

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.

Mena Darre has a Bachelors in Exercise Science, Masters in Teaching Health Education, and a Doctorate in following her dreams.  Mena always knew she wanted more than just a 9 to 5pm.   Mena worked her way through college balancing her job as a supervisor at her university and her side hustles as a personal trainer and photographer.  After Mena graduated with her Masters she told herself that she would give herself 2 years before making that leap.  Mena made that leap on June 2nd, 2017.  After 7 years of being in the health and fitness industry Mena let that go and decided to pursue photography full time.  Mena is now running Mena Darre Photography and Respect Her Grind full time.
